So, Craig Tiley has a comprehension problem
(note the 19 day turn around, may be ok for government, but I wouldn't want to be hanging on by my fingernails)

When ever I hear Craig Tiley talk I always get the impression that he's just a Narcissistic prick who believes we should all bow down to him. Latest news is he's fighting to keep his job. I'm sure there's plenty of other people that could take his place and do a better job. Needs the tap on the shoulder with a baseball bat, I predict he will be gone after the Australian Open.

I haven't looked at any replies in this thread since PB's reply to my last post yesterday but I just wanted to make a couple of apologies for yesterdays rants after some sleep and self reflection before I read the latest posts.

To Hilly (Grease Monkey), I misquoted you a bit in my last post when I said like you I try to get info from all sides, because you didn't actually say that, you said you listen to those in the field relevant to the subject, somewhat different. I thought about it a bit later and realised that I screwed that up so sincere apologies. There were also couple of subtle slaps around the head in your post as well which I did notice :). And when I thought about it I worked out that a NUM is probably a nurse or nursing unit manager.

To PB for arguing/healthily discussing ranting and chopping at you a bit when other than my opinion/observations I have no expertise whatsoever despite my efforts to learn. I'm sorry your daughter has lost her job over this but admire her conviction. I genuinely hope she has a good outcome for her choice and that you're proud of her for standing up for herself, irrespective of whether you might agree with her choice or not.

As entertaining as some internet debate and banter about the virus and vaccines can be, I decided to keep out of them after some posts in the original thread on here but I let my guard down and got caught up again. I'll try my very best to keep out of them in the future unless I have something genuinely intelligent to contribute.

This things moving around quickly and starting to grab some more lives. I hope you can all either stay away from it or get through it with no problem.

    Jason.

I know I said I'd butt out but I feel the need to have another little say.

Jay Dee a NUM is a nurse unit manager and I don't think that about you cobber, I'm constantly educating my 18 year old son on the dangers of the media.
7 people died of covid in QLD today, one had had the booster, with the original strain vaccines did a really good job but it's mutating and the goal posts keep moving, it's frustrating to follow and be up to date.
Did you know Spain has reported another mutation? Delta and Omicron combined to form a new one, they don't know what that means yet, shit storm just keeps coming.

I had heard about the Delta/Omicron combination a week or so ago but I think it was being talked about in Greece at that time.

A commenter on a Dr/nurse from England's you tube videos who claims to have studied in this field (who knows, it's the internet) seems convinced that Covid is a biological weapon. He reckons that the way it has behaved is too weird for a natural virus.

It was also suggested by someone that Omicron is the same, designed to potentially end the pandemic but also give a big FU to the vaccine makers to show it can get past them and who knows what in the future. Pretty scary stuff if there's even a grain of truth in it.

I don't think you have anything to apologise for Jay-Dee.
Everybody has different circumstances and choices will be different. I believe vaccination is the best bet for the majority. Vaccination is the best choice for me, 30 or 40 years ago maybe not. I respect your choice but it is not for me.
Different choices have always been inherent in the harley world, and respected by others, not so much with some of the guys on this site.

Seems like there's a bit of a twist in Novaks past regarding his stance on vaccination.......Novak Djokovic reportedly purchased a majority stake in a Danish biotech company trying to develop a treatment against Covid-19 back in June 2020, it has been revealed.
Novak holds an 80 per cent stake in QuantBioRes, which is developing a peptide that prevents the virus from infecting human cells.

Jay Dee, we cool man, yes I took a swipe, won't make excuses there, will endeavour to do better.
Hey I just read that somebody close to the whole deal claims tennis Australia paid for Novak's legal costs, the big deal here is the authority is funded by the tax payer, if it's true it should be entertaining to watch this unfold, the untouchables getting touched :)

Yes Hilly going to be better than the tennis game itself....believe Novak is going for a huge payout on this matter.

Christine Holgate paid the price for handing out gold watches to senior executives because it didn't pass the pub test.
Craig Tiley should go the same way, and anybody else involved in agreeing to pay legal costs should go too.
In saying that, it is likely there were assurances given to Djokavic in relation to his entry into the country and eligibility for the Open.
