2022 models online now

    Just had a look at some of the 2022 new models line-up.  Colour changes as usual, some models now coming out with mags instead of spokes. The 107 is still been run in some bikes. Now for the shock the Street Bob has nearly risen $3000 in price (looking because was thinking of buying one but not now) and not sure how much the other models have gone up. The Sport Glide is still there even though the YouTube rumour mill said it was gone. Couldn't find the Sportster's or Low Rider S I am sure they are there somewhere but I missed it I guess. Anyway go and have a look cheers.

    I just had a look and also saw no sportsters, street or LRS. 

    Price increases for the touring bikes makes them less available for many. I wouldn’t spend $40k + for a street glide, road glide or ultra. 

    Initially I didn’t understand why the street bob was so much more than the softail standard which is pretty much the same bike. But later realised the street bob has 114ci displacement v the standard’s 107ci. 

    Should be able to get the wheels from streetbob/softail standard on the sport glide too, as sport glide wheels are hideous. 

    Most of the big twins now have 114ci displacement. I thought production line would be more efficient if they simply got rid of the smaller 107ci. 

    Maybe the LRS will be replaced by a special release version which was rumoured to be a mix of the sport glide and LRS (like the old fxrt which are a popular look in the states for dynas and the newer softails).

    Yep the new CEO of Harley Davidson is wanting to make Harley a premium and exclusive brand with his hardwire plan. Well it worked for me because a new Harley is now out of my price range so I be hanging onto my 2008 Heritage for a very, very, long time.

    No reason why you couldn't get onto a far later version of any model Harley you wanted Choco. Might be a little more expensive as second hand prices seem to have increased as well. I was lamenting the other day that Harleys are not like cars where every year brings new features, design changes and technological advances. We seem to be stuck in a time warp.
    I look at my 2017 Ultra and apart from engine size and stereo, there isn't much difference to the 2022 version. (especially if you like black)

    Yes I was toying with the idea of getting a Street Bob because been in my sixties the Heritage can get a bit heavy at times. I do agree with you that the price of second hand bikes will keep going up as well because many new bike buyers will now look for late model second hand bikes.

    Choco, Heritage Softail are a Classic. Understand where your coming from re the sixty thing. Floated that around and thought about getting lighter bike, but after having bike for years ya get to know it pretty well. I'll stick to my heavy tourer, getting to be one of those old cunts that don't like change, same as my dog s'pose. Plus, how am I gunna get up to Queensland when they let us Victorians stomp around again up there..haha.pb

    I noticed this one hasn't been officially added to the line up just yet, sure it's just a matter of time.

    Looks like a low rider with sport glide bags and a useful fairing. Is it a US only model?

    Nope, should be here in Aus.

    Harley finally acknowledging the popularity of the FXRT/RP/RD fairings being put on absolutely everything over in the states. 

    I've just seen the legit Aussie pic and its looking fuckin good and identical to that.

    I saw the rumours, posts and pics about this idea but haven’t seen anything official from the moco. Do you have any links that might make it a more legitimate claim?

    Yeah I do, but I'm not interested in being the one to upload it openly though. Looks identical to the US leaked pic though.

    Your dealer should have access to the pics, otherwise Ive heard around Jan 26th/27th 'something' is being released.

    Here's an apparently leaked pic of the 2022 FXLRS. Main differences are slightly taller rear suspension,  cleaner tank setup, taller risers, guages on the bar, and the 117 motor.

    Interestingly, it has all the same elements as the FXLRS Touring pic I mentioned before, obviously sans big fairing and sport glide bags. 

    So I beleive it's real.

    Hi John, I saw that pic and some details on some other sites too. Some were saying it was even up on the moco website temporarily like a deliberate tease/leak. It’s called the fxdls baseline which it was never obviously called before. Which lends itself to a t or touring version. I’d be keen but the pricing of all their bikes in Australia is getting out of hand
