My tips have sucked this year also PB.

A few dark horses this season...Titans could go well, Tigers as well. Still thinking it will still be the same sides on top at the end...Storm, Rooters, Bunnies, Raiders, Panthers. Thinking down the bottom..Dragons, Dogs?and maybe Sharks or Broncos. Titans to be the only QLD team in the 8 at the end.
Anyone who wants to join our tipping comp please send me a pm and i will send you the link. Cost 25. Payment is to top 3 players at the end. Winner last season walked away with $750

Ha Ha you got me! Anyway if you took a large grain of salt there is a degree of accuracy in the pre season tip....got the top teams covered, got the bottom teams named and foooked up the remainder..LOL.  I am running 3rd in the comp and we ended up with 30 players.

Paul , depends how you look at it. like last game QLD managed 6 points, this game zero ( first time in history and both games in QLD with big crowds , last one in Briz.
They are saying next game in Newcastle as Sydney locked down for 10 more day's.
But I thought both games good, can't see the NSW team being beat anytime soon.

I was encouraged by the first 15/20 min then when it became apparent they had no idea how to score my hopes were dashed! Seems as though Clearey may well be out for the season so again a glimmer of light, but not putting my house on the bet.

Big gap in talent between the top two teams and the remainder of the comp sadly.

woohoo! - enjoyed Eels / Panthers..finally a game worth watching !  Jeez Eels are frustrating tho...& felt sorry for Moses - i bet that sees Reynolds take position in NSW O3 - he would have nailed both those kicks....

Possible that all NRL sides will be based in QLD in a bubble due to ongoing COVID in Sydney

Cost of moving it all to QLD......between $10-$15 million a month. Thats marginally less than the $4mill a week for the AFL move

Usually four rounds to a month so 4 x $4 million for AFL is only a bit more than the $15 million you mentioned for a month of NRL games.

Each AFL team has 22 players plus an emergency player. That alone costs a lot more money. Plus a lot more umpires on the ground/goals. That’s more money. I don’t know but I expect the extra players for AFL probably requires further support staff. Expenses increase exponentially off the number of people (or players). Everyone wants to bring spouses and family for starters.

Let’s not forget there are 18 clubs in the AFL v 16 in the NRL.

Only two AFL clubs in QLD and support for them is marginal at best. As opposed to three QLD NRL clubs where there is significant support, sponsors around that are local etc

Maybe the AFL costs are more reasonable

The reason for the price variation is dependent on crowds, merchandise etc softening the outer limit price wise
