Does anyone have any take-off OEM Wide Glide dash/tank components that they'd like to sell?

Think have to see Harley if your speedo needs replacing now, as the law in some states of AU , can have trouble, to do with keeping record of K's or miles bike has traveled. think it's Law now.

Thanks for the "heads-up" but I HAVE TO replace my speedo, the original one was smashed beyond repair when I had my accident. The original style/size is also now obsolete and I have tried finding one, even a secondhand one for two years now. Going to a standard size Speedo is a final resort. I'm also not asking people for their second hand Wide Glide speedo, I have a bare Wide Glide tank and I need ALL the other parts associated with the tank, such as the dash panel, lower dash panel, wiring harness and all mounting brackets. I would have thought with all of the genuine chrome custom parts people have installed that someone, somewhere would have the original factory fitted parts sitting on a shelf in their garage gathering dust.

Any obvious reason the Drag Spec' unit is no good ?

Yeah... I have one of them fitted at the moment but it is very irritating as the LEDs in it are white but the OEM Tacho has orange LEDs (these are Surface Mounted Diodes and there are about 13 of them, so a little hard to change over myself), also the fact that it doesn't have the capability to send the required "speed" signal to the Turn Signal Control unit to shut off the indicators after completing a turn, now this last problem may not be problematic to others but after riding this bike for about the past 21 years... I keep forgetting to turn the damn things off... I hate looking like a bloody newbie riding for miles with the indicators flashing away.

I was wondering how you were riding for two years without a Speedo !
Shame the clone Speedo is NQR !
Wouldn't be too hard to find someone to change out the leds, but colour would be hard to match.
    The search continues !

    Can understand your problem!
I love the way HD's self cancel once hit a set speed!
There was a speedo guy in Sydney ( the back of Ashfield ? or close ) He was good, had all equipment needed. But sadly retired 10 years back.

speedzter , I've had to ride without speedo many times, in old days cable drive speedo, plenty of old Harleys use that system, some via front wheel some GB.

I installed a Dakota Digital speedo a while back for '96 WG, excellent product, has the speed signal output for turn indicators etc.
There may be one available for your model, link below:

Thank you for the link, I checked them out and Dakota doesn't have a Speedo that fits the FXDX twin gauge bracket, I'd have to go to an aftermarket "style" gauge which has both the Tacho and Speedo in it, I suppose if I was to do that I'd rather have one mounted in a Wide Glide dash on a Wide Glide fuel tank. So I'm still chasing a Wide Glide dash and all it's wiring and fittings.
