Surely you are not one of those people who are offended ....are you?

Not for myself. When I thought he meant you. I knew you were not likely to be offended so it wasn’t worth jumping in with a beagle meme.

Its in the fine detail, the subtlety of the word "lawyers" as apposed to "lawyer"

I hear you Phoenix...sometimes its like feeding caviar to pigs.. or facts to deniers..all they can retort is with slurs and personal attacks rather than digesting the basis of the justice system, or welfare system in some cases...the facts! If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

Feeding caviar to pigs?  Interesting analogy there.
Are you suggesting that  the pretentious pseudo legal drivel you waffled is the caviar?
You seem to have a mighty high opinion of yourself but in reality you just come across as a condescending fukin knobgobbler.
I suggest you take another holiday.
    A fukin long one.

Well Chester we have had the exact scenario you mention. Mohamed Noor ( a black officer) shot dead Justine Damond Ruszczyk (a white Australian female) in the alley behind her Minneapolis home in July 2017. He got charged with similar offenses to the current case and jailed for 12.5yrs.
What we didnt have after that event was , BLM riots killing 19 people or 14000 people arrested and countless businesses looted. There was no political interference, or vested groups threatening the basis of justice. Why was that...

The cop's defence lawyers have mentioned that his actions were simply in line with the police training he had in dealing with a possible threat. In the training manual there was never any specific mention of not placing knee against a neck!

This is his 'get out of jail card'.

Oh yes!, he will get out of jail at once. Soon as they all realise that.
Also in the training manual there was never any specific mention of, Not running over some one with a steam roller and then reversing back over them.
If only there was a steam roller at hand at the time. Then he would have had 2 "get out of jail cards".
Oh oh!, I am getting too emotional and am about to burst into tears. Then I will go to the toilet and not know if I want to shit or spew....and will probably get it wrong and spew in my underpants.

HA HA HA HA .  There was a very funny  post a few years back  about somebody spewing in their underpants.
    Can anybody remember that one?

Chester if in either case the prosecution could show all the pre requisites for the charge of murder then they would have. Both officers have been found guilty of manslaughter related charges. Both cases have been judged on the basis of a accidental killing as distasteful as that may seem to many people.
My comment of Exact scenario was a response to your statement about black police shooting white person......."If the victim in this case was white and the cop was black"

Chester its about the proof, thankfully our legal system protects us with its use,  and also uses a similar standard to charge and convict you. Its a very difficult thing to prove that anyone intentionally and willfully planned and carried out a murder under the circumstances outlined in the trial or on the video. Its distasteful, its confronting and a raft of other words when you see the video but the best the U.S. Attorney could hope to get a conviction for was these second degree matters.

A further interesting turn in the trial is now been confirmed....the question of bias. A black jury member, Mr Mitchell attended a BLM march prior to the trial wearing, and has been photographed, a t shirt bearing the words  “Get your knee off our necks.”
The defence will argue the image is proof that Mr Mitchell was not an impartial juror.
During the jury selection phase of the Chauvin trial, prospective jurors were required to answer a 14-page survey gauging their opinions on several topics, including the Black Lives Matter movement.
It included questions about their participation in protests against police brutality.

“Did you, or someone close to you, participate in any of the demonstrations or marches against police brutality that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death?” asked one of the questions.

“Other than what you have already described above, have you, or anyone else close to you, participated in protests about police use of force or police brutality?” asked another.

Mr Mitchell answered “no” to both questions. During jury selection, he also told defence lawyer Eric Nelson that he had a “very favourable” opinion of Black Lives Matter, and that he knew some “great guys” who were police officers.
And the soap opera goes on
