yeah that's all the kinda trouble my mate had ( or at least the Indy repair shop did ).
What they all thought was "bolt on" indeed WAS NOT !
Plus wiring hassles from speedo up on the bars to tank mounted "Softail/Wide Glide" type speedo
The Indy shop wished they had never started , time being money and all that , and they did the job for a pre arranged Insurance quote !
As I said already they had ordered a brand new speedo , opened the box and tried to fit it , too small.
In the end I gave them a 2008 stock Softail Custom speedo from a bike I had put a speedo/revcounter unit into. And some other wee bits.
They were about to chuck the toys out of the sandpit after many many months.
