My son in law packed up a couple of cartons of cds and posted them. He's a man with wide-ranging music tastes, went to a few concerts in Brisbane when he and my daughter lived there, Radio Birdman, Lucero a couple of times, Dropkick Murphy's, Steve Earl... but now they live in Melbourne and he's busy dying of cancer, so I've been playing his music. A lot of classics, London Calling, Linkin Park's Meteora, a lot of Steve Earl, Lucinda Williams, The Panics,  Gram Parsons, been enjoying most of it.
This old one by Guy Clark was a good find.

A hydrogen powered hotrod it's got to be better than a battery powered one- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAEhhYqMEBE

    Seems like a good thing.
The biggest question’s I have is how far will $100:get me and how big is the maintenance bill?

George Carlin is great, here's an extension of the end of that video but probably from another performance.

SO sad to hear of your sons failing health.
Cancer is a relentless hell. Lost sister, brother, and ex's very quickly from a diagnosis of it.
    Whateva you do 'DONT SMOKE'
That said, life can be 2 short, so live it.

Nice vid of an Oz bloke taking his 3 sons to California to ride their old bikes around. Shit, my old man never did that for me, but to be fair, overseas was where you went to be shot at for him. I've never done that for my daughter either, but hey, she got to ride the old Sportie round the back yard last week. It's been about 15 years for her, so we started with getting the 1980 XL250 Honda running and she spent half an hour on that, then same again on the Sportie. Rain stopped play then, so didn't get out on the road unfortunately, where the high gearing and forward controls make sense, and the heavy low speed steering from the 21" front wheel and shorter shocks disappears. She did real well on it on the tight U turns needed in the yard, heavy steering, quick take up clutch (no spring plate in the middle of the plates), flat spot just off idle caused by worn carb body with 391000 kms on it, should put a thicker shim under the needle clip. By the time the rain stopped briefly the roos were out. Next time she drives north though....
Back to the video, you'd think that after the first bike fire they'd make sure they were running aircleaners.

It's a big strange world out there. 21:26 is wild.

I only watched a bit of it but I wonder how many of them they had to clean up off the road during the course of the day.

Well they're only doing quarters on street baggers mostly with high bars, so they're not going too quick. Although even 160 if fast enough if you're only wearing shorts and T shirt. There is one run by a pair of noticeably faster bikes, and both the riders are wearing leather, taking it seriously. I'd reckon being a spectator just in front of the start line carried more risk, or maybe the risk of a GSW in the "marshalling area". The video doesn't show anyone going down and I'm sure if they could have caught some bloody footage they would have shown it.

Quite an uplifting song really, compared to some ditty's by Leonard Cohen.
Warning!, this song might make you feel like killing yourself. Make sure you have a sharp razor blade nearby.

Dunno FC, any one who gets off on the idea of checking out after ODing on Lenny will probably enjoy a blunt blade more. I've seen him in concert a couple of times, wonderful concerts, full of humour.
Personally, I've always found the possibility of being able to check out if I decide I need to, to be a positive thing in life, a comfort really. Haven't decided I need to yet. And Lenny probably felt the same way, after all Dress Rehearsal Rag was written in the late 60s, that album dates from about 1971, he kept going until a death by misadventure only a few years ago.
Of course to hold that view, you need mates who are prepared to laugh at you for being a dickhead when you're thinking of doing it for some stupid reason. I've helped do that for a couple of blokes, had them do that for me.
I'm probably out of touch with modern thinking on this, judging by the warnings and help available ads on the occasional TV programs I see, but I can live with that.
