Not pretty reading but this is where all the sins are laid bare. I struggle a bit to understand how production was going ahead full steam yet they where jamming those bikes into warehouse's and not not into paying customers garages. Surely financial alarms would have been going off yet management never adjusted production or strategy. Anyway its a very well respected brand with a great pedigree so very attractive for a investor to do a deal with.....and the bonus of 300k bikes built ready for sale. There's a few investors sniffing around at the moment so lets see.

See some talk of a offer Lewis Hamilton made a all cash offer to buy the whole KTM race division....the deal has not progressed at this stage.

That's one way to burn through millions of dollars, good on him though 👍

Guess its like the old saying about leaving racing with a small fortune, they started with a huge fortune!

Well well....seems like the test riders are smiling over the new Yamaha v4.....lets see how the big boys rate it, looks like a Ducati made love to a Aprilia with a Yamaha tacho

Just watched Jorge Martin have a huge highside on his new ride.....possible fractures to rt hand and left foot...fingers crossed for him. Wasn't a high speed slap but a face first plant.

Well further suprises from Yamaha.....the bike the riders are raving about is NOT the new V4....." It’s true we are developing a V4. It's not [just] a new engine, it's a new bike. But it's also true that we are racing with a [Inline] bike which has been heavily renewed over the winter. So it's a bit of exceptional effort we are doing, but we want to be competitive as soon as possible. We can’t just freeze everything [as it is now] because we're building something for 26. It’s difficult yes, but what we're doing is improving the [current] M1 as much as we can. This is why we have here a new aerodynamic package. New chassis direction. Some electronic improvement. Steps on the engine, which will continue in the beginning of the season. So we are, let's say doing our normal pre-season development on that bike.

Jorge Martín has been diagnosed with a right hand fracture and fractures in his left foot. He has undergone a CT scan and MRI, both of which were negative for any injuries.

My bad timing again... back in 2023 I was in Laos and Thailand when MotoGP was on in Buriram. Couldn't change plans...
Booked just before Xmas to spend a week in Laos before I head to a conference in Bangkok. Didn't even think about MotoGP as it is usually later in the year. Found out through a chick in Thailand that rides that it is on 28/02-02/03. Unfortunately I cannot change plans :(
Pissed off again

Jack was the quickest Yamaha in the testing today....still way off Ducati pace but smooth and ticking boxes getting up to speed. Ducati are running their 24 series motors rather than the new 25 version....bit clever by them as every Ducati in the field has the ability to provide data.

They are all pretty close time wise, be interesting to see how that translates in actual racing conditions, I'm a bit excited for the first race now.

Dont forget the superbikes kick off this weekend at Phillip Island....some new faces and team personal swaps but if you had a lazy $10 throw it on Toprak and BMW to go back to back championships. Bmw are well advanced with negotiations for a entry to Moto GP as well.

I just watched KTM's new video advert they are calling Orange Blood, seems they see Harley as their main competition, referenced them at least two times in it, made me chuckle a bit, they don't even make a cruiser FFS.

Well first crash of season 2025 practice....well done Jack, you're a winner of the trophy. Both Marques brothers 1 and 2 ....Jack isn't in the qualifying.

Jack got two yellow flags on his fast laps, as did many others, the dumb arse rules of motoGP, he wasn't the only one to bin it either, Saturday will be the test.

Think the surprise is both the Jap brands are competitive along with the KTM and Aprillia without the champ on board. Poor bugger high sided in his first pre season run on it smashing his left hand and then high sided in a different crash smashing his right hand
