Depending on the day lately it's charging 14.2 to 14.4, I have it as a gauge option on this Speedo.

I just plugged in my trickle charger. After about 10 seconds the light came on telling me it was full. I checked the volts and it was trying to charge a full battery  at  14.4 , same as yours. I unplugged it and checked the volts. 12.6 same as it was two minutes before.
I think you said your battery was holding 13.5 volts? That doesnt seem right to me but as I said I am no sparky.
There used to be a couple of electrical gurus on here. Hopefully they might chip in.
I would like to get to the bottom of this battery travesty youre having mate.

Thanks Beages, 13.5 is just float voltage, turn the key on and it wipes it off, goes back to 12.4 or so, i was taught 12.7 is a fully charged new battery, 12.5-6 is good, mine is just under, the battery would be fine in a lower comp engine or lawn mower, even drawing down to 9.1 on cranking isn't completely kaput but my bike don't like it and I don't want a no start on the side of the highway. My crank could even have a tight spot and I don't even want to think about that!

I'm convinced it's the battery beages, take it off charger, 13.5 float volts, turn key on 12.4 volts, crank it 9.1 volts, it's not stuffed stuffed but it's below most recommended values, I will have a new one next week, same as what's in it now as that has lasted the longest of the 4!!!! It has had since new(Oct 2015 if memory serves me), I'll post up the values the new one($135 to my door) puts out when it's in.

At that price I wouldn't be fucking around either.  I replaced mine a couple of years ago and from memory I think it was $260.
Where are you getting it from ?

This might be getting tedious for some of you so please just skip on if so.

Beages, sorry mate I missed that question, eBay, 4WD Extreme.

So here is where it's at.
Battery voltage on tender/charger in float mode after a week (more or less) 13.6volts.(OK)
Took charger off, after 10 minutes 13.35volts.(sorta ok)
Key on dropped to 12.20volts.(not ok)
First start dropped to 9.7volts.(better than ok)
    Second start 8.36volts.(not ok)
Third start 8.12volts.(worse than not ok)
At idle the voltage at the battery is 14.17volts.(ok)
At 2000 or so RPM voltage is 14.25volts.(also ok)
Switch meter from DC to AC at 2000RPM and there is .16volts.(ok apparently)
According to the info in this link that is within the expected range.

So the battery is slightly down on performance and the charging system is working as it should, fully charged it would pass a proper CCA load test first hit I'm sure, it started no problem on all attempts which is the crux of the issue as it has nearly not started when I've been away from home.
Courier attempted to deliver the new battery yesterday but I was picking the wife up so missed them, can't get it until Monday now as the buggas are closed on weekends.
