You would have to price everything up to see if it's worth it but if you are at 96 I would (probably) do their piston and barrels but go aftermarket for everything else

Thanks guys, I will look into it. When it came up the other day in a discussion, old mate thought around $2,500 + fitting, but that might be $UD.

I've had the 110 in for some time now, haven't finished the bike yet so can't give and review on it.

Barrels, pistons, rings and gaskets are around $1700 from memory. It's in this thread some where

Geeze, I dunno, all this effort spent on upgrading to a 110 CI,,,,,,,,,,,why not simply buy a bike with one already in it ?

You know what I mean Hilly,,,,,,,,,,,,LOL

I've got a lot more homework to do, but just letting you know HH in Adelaide quoted me $3660 for the 103 Stage 4 kit and $4077 for the 110 Stage 5 "Tyre Shredder Kit"

With a few other bits needed and a estimate of $1300 for fitting totals were only $330 difference.

So with a can of worms at the ready, What do you think? I often hear "Hoody & Lushy" I'm not after high HP, just a bit more punch as a $5-6k upgrade is more affordable than a $20k? changeover to a new bike.

,P.S. They had me at "Tyre Shredder" angel

My local dealer has had a new 120r for sale in their showroom on display for ages - I'd say a year or two - for $7,500. Maybe it could be had cheaper than that. I realise it has to then be installed and tuned, but you also have your own engine to sell which mightn't make things too much more exxy than the tyre-shredder/flyby-master kit.

120rs don't come with the TB Tim, I know some people say they do but as far as I am aware they never have

Just a little question for the mass's.

Still quite new here and to Harley's.

So this 110 kit, is this something someone with some mechanical know how could do or is something only for a shop?

I guess a dyno maybe needed aftwards.

Or would a cam upgrade be a cheaper option.

Most of my riding is open road highwat stuff, but i like getting there as quick as I can, plus I'm lazy and I hate changing gears.

    Just chucking it out there.

    103 with 110 kit Stage 5, that's a rocket sled.
110 in one of the S models, if you like black offers plenty of ticker trigger, then a little more to 117kit, you're likely at similar money. Better overall black package.

I was quoted $1600 for the 110 drop in barrels and pistons and $1760 for the complete drop in 110 kit from Sys Harley? I will drop in on the weekend and confirm price as the chick on the phone probably fucked up. Feel free to give them a call.
