Met the owner today Steve , who has done 400000klm on his Sporty. Yes that is correct 400k! I did read about the bike sometime ago on the forum but cant find the article. Morgan and Wacker had the bike and story on their Facebook as well i am told. If anyone can steer me in the right direction to find the article i would be apprecitive. Lovely man who rides a victory now very quickly!

what is classed as too many kms on a bike? ive got an 86 superglide that ive owned for 21 yrs never done a thing to the motor  { apart from the norm- plugs oil etc } and it still runs strong- im the second owner and just turned over 69000 kms .still ride it every weekend -just upgraded to a heritage softail so ive advertised the ol girl for sale [ the bike] and had no serious lookers at $ 8500 i dont think its overpriced but is it the fact that it has this amount of kms on it that turning people off which raises the question at how many kms do you sell your favorite ride to make it saleable to someone else-like to know other thoughts on this

Unfortunatly , 60 plus is considered  very high by many , its not after all 60000 klm is only 36000 miles in old terms , but most guys buy them and don't use them, when i was youunger has stated above i only bought high mileage  60-70000 miles  plus bikes , and had nothing but trouble  , but remember they were always  smaller cc bikes .

I'll keep my rocket till i die probably i just refuse to give it away ,  it cost   25 grand new in 2009 , spent probably 3500-4000 grand on accesories , its been well maintened , trouble free   60 odd thousand klm all highway , I was offered  5-6 grand trade in .runs better than it did new , cos its only just run in now .  and i believe them when they say , bikes with a bit of mileage on are hard to sell . Harleys well  its even worse , so many buy them put them in the shed to  show there mates what a nice bike theve got , and  don't ride them , so ita got where people think your not supposed to have mileage on a bike .

After 38 yrs of never being without a bike I'd wouldn't want to estimate the total kms done. I know it'd be a shitload.
Current bike is an 08 FLHT, bought new and just rolled over the 117,000 km Mark. I'm hoping it will be as reliable for the next .

Ran out of fuel once, flat tyre and trailered on to the tyre shop, flat battery & pushed started it, my biggest dramas ??

The USA is the real home of the garage Queen.
