Sounds tough. Love the new look too.
cheers Surly
It isn't even the same bore and stroke as the 120R crate motor.
While we are correcting things....what are the correct valve sizes Stix?
Oulaw is that the 113 inch Treese motor or the 147inch? what speed do you run @ what track did you do the 9.8?
cheers sounds good know another guy with a 113" treese that races and has a new 147 treese cases corrillo rods but not TReese heads he is having frame built now
Sounds good, the guy i know ran consistent 10 flat both at Sydney & willowbank raceway with the treese twin cam 113 john treese designed cams s&s heads ridgid frame.
what wheelbase is your FXR?
Outlaw, would be good to see you at the track, you must be a great rider! what clutch are you useing & what gearbox?also what is your best trap speed? do you have time cards? would be great to look at them! what 60ft times are you doing?
I think you have the John Treese EVO cases?
the motors i thought you had was the John Treese designed Twin Cam, he came out with that design before harley, but not interchangable with HD twin cam. more like an EVO.
any way as i said would be great to see you at the track, what class do you race in?
Hi Gentleman
I think I might say this for quite a few on here! There has been alot of time and money gone into a motor that many of us have followed from the beginning. As we still have the final chapter, to come, to conclude the story by means of the drag strip if you would kindly like to start your own thread on the below EVO that would be great!
That way we can continue to enjoy the orginal story without the junk below. With all due respect!
Thanks Jam
That's great you will be getting to the track!
won't be easy the first time, will be good to see what trap speeds she does.
hope your weather is ok over there, ours is all over the place.
Cheers good luck
the Twin Cams are much better than older motors at stopping wet sumping at high rev's. i don't know much about Dougherty, but i like the s&s reed valve as it lets pessure out crank and does not let it return.
the bigger you make the motor the more crank case pressure, specially with longer stroke.
good to see you have it solved'
buggered if i know why but i do my best times on hot days as long as humidity it not high,
