Greenfields motorcycle accident - witnesses sought
POLICE Major Crash officers are also seeking witnesses to a traffic crash which has left a 39-year-old motorcyclist with serious spinal injuries.
The crash occurred at about 3.30pm on Sunday at the intersection of Lakes Rd and Victoria Circle in Greenfields. The 39-year-old woman was riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle south along Lakes Rd, and as she slowed to indicate a right hand turn into Victoria Circle, a Toyota Landcruiser travelling behind her collided with the rear of her motorcycle. The woman was thrown onto the road, and remains in the intensive care unit of Fremantle Hospital as a result of the injuries she received. The 29-year-old male driver of the Landcruiser was not injured. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the vehicles prior to the incident is asked to contact Senior Constable Dave Magorian of Major Crash on 9222 1765 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
whoever you are hope you heal well............................................................................
Maybe we can set up member donations to a Forum Fund, to send cards or books/ flowers to downed riders & pillions care of HD Forums Australia.
I hate hearing about riders with spinal injuries, I have been there and it's not a nice place to be.
Hope she recovers from this.
Excellent idea.
I am in and will be only too happy to donate.
WOW Ho that happened in my patch mate. Hope the lady recovers OK and they nail the SOB.
The suggestion of some sort of fund is interesting, might be a little awkward to set up.
I find these days that you litteraly need eyes in the back of your head. Defensive riding takes on a whole new meaning and can be life saving.
Bt
I feel sick just reading Karlrocks details ...i hope she makes a full recovery..
bad for all involved..
Karl... I'm gutted... what can I say that has not already been said.....
This is always my worst fear... you can react to people in front and to the sides, but how does one react to the people coming from behind
my best wishes to Karen and her husband and family.... if there is anything that I or this great community of riders can do to assist just holler
Karl
Please pass on our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

So Sorry to read all this and Our deepest Sympathies go out to all involved. We hope Karen heals albeit slowly (safest) but completely and the surgery is a total and complete success.
We are sending good healing thoughts to you both and a deposit has been made as we speak.
It sickens me to hear of such stupidity and sensless damage made by an inattentive driver.
And I know first hand how difficult times ahead are going to be.
Karl, Steve, Karen and all take it slow and think positive all the time, its amazing that it does work.
