Finally I have joined the world of HOG several months ago after a 17 year abscence in the saddle. Today the bike was in at the workshop for a service, replacement front motor mount & a search for any other loose bits that might be causing problems.. A few things were discovered & fixed as follows: Front Wheel - spacers were installed on the wrong sides which was causing my front brakes to bind. I assume it probably screwed with the alignment of the front wheel in relation to the rear? If this is the case, I assume that this probably wasn't helping my handling exactly? Don't know when t...

Pulled my finger out this arvo and welded up the front seat tab and fender and brake tabs on the swing arm. I trimmed the size of seat down a bit and re-shaped it a little to work in with the tank and fender a bit better, and rolled the edges back off. Also trimmed the gender back and shapped out some mounts off the sides of the fender for the struts to mount to. Run out of time to cut the struts and drill the holes out. Gooday, how is everybody enjoying this great riding weather (in Melbourne anyway)? As you can see, I can only dream about riding at the moment. Here are a few photo's from my USA trip in late January 2014.   There were Harley Davidson stores (no bikes) in most Vegas Casinos, including this one in the basement of the MGM where I stayed.  Even the Vegas convention centre has a permanent HD dealership (with bikes) for bored sales reps at conventions.  I thought the Aussie stores had a reasonable amount of HD branded merchandise but its nothing compared to these places.  Even pink HD branded cat toys.  I will admit to buying a HD brande...

 Hey guys, The other day changing down from 4th bike felt and sounded it wanted to stall. Changed to 2nd and I said wtf looking down at tank as you would! I noticed speedo was on 0 and by now I'm in first gear coming to a stop and clutch in gliding I stop and motor says "clunk clunk bike is stalled. As many of you know I really like to use the technology that comes with the bikes these days. There is no reason to run all Closed loop or All Open loop. Look at any of the base calibrations we supply and you will see it's a combination of both and always has been. To simply run rich for the sake of it really hurts the engine and oil life.
