Cobra FI2000
, 13 Nov 2012 05:51 AM
Ok Bali Biker, Try this when dialing in your Green Pot with the Cobra Fi2000r 1. Warm up bike 2. Set Green Pot to '0' 3. Set bike up so you can hold throttle at "2000 rpm". ( A friend would be handy) 4. With your bike @ 2000 rpm , "slowly turn" the green pot up until the rpm's start to "decrease". Then back off slightly until the rpm's are back to 2000 rpm's. DONE !! I assume you have the bike specific Cobra module for your bike !!!!
Tank swap 48 tank for either Nightster or IRON
, 11 Oct 2012 08:40 AM
pressure testing - garbage bin of water, tape up the obvious holes, put in, look for bubbles. Cost, $0- 15 sealing - if no bubbles, i'd skip it, Harley do. painting - I've had good success with automotive paint in rattle cans, this is my play tank, the original one is for impressing future buyers. The tanks probably come from the same place, just one hasn't passed thru the Harley orifice to get to me. The one from harley is 700 bucks in primer only, you've still gotta paint it. Ideal...
Looking for ACT Riders
, 03 Sep 2012 05:01 AM
Hey Fatbat! I did mine myself. I haven't run it across the Dyno yet, nor have I Vtuned it. I am using a map developed by Karakyan and it runs smooth as. No backfiring etc. Once I drop the cams in though I might have to tune it a bit more. I am hoping the cams are here this week or early next week, then I will fit them and ready for a ride. " border="0" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" /> I tuned a mates bike with TTS too, so if you need hand, I ...
Lets see your Bikes - Sportster

Thankfully my boss has been in Melbourne all week, which means I've been working on my bike all week " border="0" /> Painted the wraps in a high temp silicome paint in copper. Thermo Tec. Much better I reckon! Thoughts? Only issue...I was way too lazy to take the pipes off, so I painted them while on. Taped up the bike real good, and used old sheets. Still got some on the metal bracket that mounts the pipes. You think paint thinner would take that off wihtout damaging the metal? ...

Electrical connectors
, 02 May 2012 02:54 AM
Part of the problem with soldering on a potentially vibrating/moving wire is the solder heat, depending on the wire gauge, may affect the heat affected zone just right behind the solder. If vibes are present they might work harden the wire and come apart behind the soldered connection. Having sad that heat shrink should help keep the wire rigid and vibe free provided it was a straight and not a bent or curved connection. I'd go with FLHuTChUu on this. Quality crimps only, no solder. JM2C "...

, 24 Mar 2012 05:21 AM
@hilly I have only seen 254 good on paper too no review from ne one yet @jocky so you reckon 211 do not go with 103 for 0- next traffic light power….as this is one of the option to have 103 upgrade first and then cams @robo just went to hd blacktown and told that 254 suits 96 better as 211 suits 103… lol and it was from this lady on the counter.. as their workshop closed @chriso may look into 255 after 103 upgrade confused a hell may be better to go 103 upgrade n later go stg IV i guess
Apehangers on sporty.
, 26 Dec 2011 02:02 AM
When i was looking at apes, i went with the road6customs i only have 8" ones as my shoulders are bad, but my main decision was that they are narrow and suite the narrow glide front ends better, a bar like the burly in my opinion is more suited to the 48's with a mid glide front. Have a look on their site www.road6customs.com/online-shop.html#ecwid:category=151816&mode=category&offset=0&sort=normal where are plenty of different bars and pictures of customers bikes to have a look at. Their service...
48 price increase!! what can I do?
, 04 Jul 2011 02:06 PM
Yes i was informed of the higher price for a 48 a few weeks ago when I put my deposit down. It bothered me but I wasn't financial enough to purchase one when they first came out. As it's the HD bike I really want I'm going ahead with it! Added a lot of extras too so the cost is up there. I agree - It seems like we're paying more for the fact it's popular than what the bikes actually worth. I intend keeping my 48 long term )even if I get another HD down the track) so seeing it more as adding to m...
