 I been thinking the same set up.... Solo spring seat most the time, with the occasional weekend 2up. Just starting looking at different styles. Ask at your local parts store or look on ebay (both AU and US) you'll find stacks of these plate holders.  You don't need to drill they are made to suit your bike, just get one that suits your model.
