           Last dealer service (8,000 klm) I changed to H D synthetic oil . On the weekend I did an engine oil change (12,000 klm) The new oil is as clear as virgin olive oil, but the old oil was a dirty red colour. Is this right for only 4,000 klm usage? or have I had the stealer wool pulled over my eyes?

I have been using Syn 3 in my 08RK since new. Oil always looks like dark honey after every 8000kms change. I am comming up to my 32000 change and I like you have wondered about the clean look of the oil. Maybe it does not have the detergents like some of the old mineral oils I have used on other bikes. Someone may know why?
