just wondering if anyone has started making plans for the November Rally.
We booked our ferry trips and it isnt all that easy because we were hoping for a night cross over
from Melb to Tazzie. But they only have day runs on the 5th nov.
from Melb to Tazzie, $115 plus $41 for the bike
from Tazzie to Melb $146 plus $41 for the bike
if u pay by credit card add another $10, all up around $353 ( your probably thinking that trip to Bangkok is looking pretty good ! )
Sunday night we are coming back at night.
accommodation is going to be tight - trying to cater for a thousand or two riders
Conferrence connections can book both the ferry & accommodation
going to be interesting

Riding to Tassie in 3 weeks from NSW so I'll let you know how it goes. Spending 2 weeks touring around. If I can supply any useful info I'll let you know.

I served 21 years in the Navy and by far the worst stretch of sea I have ever been in is the Bass Strait. I was on the HMAS Melbourne and the swell was over 40ft, and was breaking back to the island on an aircraft carrier, scary shit, so I hope its not like that as the missus wouldnt be happy. If you ever look at the world with no water you can understand why, either side of the Bass Strait is very deep water and Bass Strait in comparison is shallow as shit, hence the big waves at times.
