On returning to the bike today i find some arsehole decided to start hitting into my front guard resulting in a big dent with 2 long dents like from a angle bar........Paint is ok still but right in the middle of the guard and cant missit.....

Now b4 i have to leave the forum on murder charges if i find the prick who did this,  is it easy to beat out oneself (no experience in this) or could it be pricy for the dealer???? or whoelse fixes these things well.....all up size of a 50 cent piece....

I thought it may have been a trolly buy on looking closely there is no scratching and anything rolling into or falling on it could not have happened.thats the worst part it looks like a deliberate act of vandalism....................and yup its hit so hard there are 2 creases in it.........

dent removals they are mobile and cost about 40.00 maybe 60.oo no paint damage

Not to detract, however, a few years back now a fella I'd recently met bought a brand new Heritage in sorta cream/green and within a week of picking it up decided to grab a quick burger at maccas on seaford road in VIC and while he was in feeding his face a small bunch of ^%&*(&^^%$ screwdrivered his paintjob down to the metal... Tank & both guards... Less than 15ft away and couldn't do SFA. By the time he got out they were gone in as many different directions... I don't hafta tell anyone here about the anguish let alone the $$$ and at the risk of repeating meself... Why...???  ...

 

It is sad that some wankers will do something like this out of pure jealousy. I am paranoid about being out and having to park the bike in a car park. it has happened to me before with a week old car. And of course no one saw anything.

The problem is that if you caught them they would get a good behavior bond, you would have to take them to court to get the bike fixed, then they would scream destitute and only have to pay you .50c a month for the rest of their life.

If you caught them and restrained them as anyone would, you would be the one who was up on assault charges, for slapping the shit out of them.

All because you choose to ride an outlaw motor cycle (Harley Davidson) and look after it.

I just read a book (true story) called ICEMAN Richard Kuklinski the mafia hitman. If you catch em you can use a flare to burn their testicles with - It worked well in the book - this is the kind of thing you have to come up with when the government takes away our guns.

from what you describe it sounds like someone in a 1 tonner or similar had backed into your bike.... especially if the marks are crossways across the guard

I had the same thing happen to my 250cc in around 2004. Noticed a council dump truck next to it as they worked, came back to ride it later that day and it was parked in the same spot, but facing front-wheel to kerb, instead of backed in. Bizarre. Sat on it and noticed the bars were well skewed (the steeering lock was on). Not pleased. Asked the neighbors for any witnessing, nothing, but the nice lady who was a lawyer had had problems with these guys, and was happy to back up a letter she wrote of seeing it happen. Gotta love a letter with a law firm letterhead on it (unless you get one yourself) . We must've been right. A $1,000 cheque in under two weeks saw me get it rectified and also a new cog for the back wheel and some other maintenance.

Hoodaman's happy ending will be him giving a tickle to whoever did this deed to his ride

After you've forked out the $$$ for the repair you might need to fork out more $$$ and get an alarm with proximity sensor and pager and a short piece of rope. That way when you catch the next prick that gets too close to the blingmobile you can take 'em for a drag. Farking arseholes!!!
