Yesterday I had fitted by a Mlb. stealer a T-max 309-360 w/ closed loop auto-tune to my 2008 FLSTC Heratige and it's awesome,,, the map I'm told is the 401 and my concerns are as follows:-

    1) On slowing and changing back all is fine back to 3rd, fine back to 2nd but when I squirt back to 1st, a total flat spot, and she often backfires through the air intake.

    2) 6th gear light is inoperative.

    3) Reserve counter stuck on low. (didn't realise how much I have come to rely on this feature)

    4) After reading Forum this morning I am very concerned regarding the speedo as I passed a camera doing 62KPH and don't know as I thought I saw a flash and the bastards here are hungry.

Any advice will be helpful as I don't seem to be able to find any experts here in Melbourne... My beauty now flies and I immediately felt the benefits, but I simply don't think the dealer gives a fuck, as they didn't even bother to re-set the bloody clock!!! charged heaps though, perhaps it may be worth a trip to Adelaide to see Scotty,(if Wran will let me over the border without a Police escort. Ha ha)..........I can change a sparkplug but electronics have got me buggared! (need help bad)...j

    jacks,

It wouldn't surprise me if the stealers didn't set up the TMAX properly. I have heard of both the low fuel light issue and the six gear light issue. I beleive the sixth gear issue is a setting in the configuation of the thundermax software. The speedo can be calibrated in the softwarem it wouldn't surprise me if they've done that wrong as well. Best thing to do to start with is to load the Thunderheart software on your pc and plug your bike in, then you can check alot of it yourself. Read through the Thundermax manual it's a bit leangthy but it gives you lots of good info. Also pays to update the unit to the latest firmware which can be done through the internet.

Tell us what mods you have on the Heritage, pipes, air etc. This will tell us if they have loaded the best map for you.

Have to agree with the other guys RTFM, I will say it again REAF THE FUCKING MANUAL and do any updates.

I did my own and it's not rocket science once you get the hang of it.

The sixth gear light and incorrect speedo are the same issue.

If you have the wrong speedo calibration code in the tmax the speedo will be out and the 6th gear light is activated when the rpm and speed line up for the speedos idea of 6th.

    cheers

Seems the right map in use for your setup. You need to check the settings in the basic setting of the Modual configuration.

    Post up here the

Speedo Cal, idle rpm, and Final drive ratio.
