Done a quick search but couldnt find anything, have an 06 FXDL in at the shop at the moment fitting up a 180 wide tyre kit, they have come back to me and said it wont fit with the detachable sissy bar set up, will it fit with the standard sissy bar set up (non detachable), they reckon it probably wont but surely it must do.........any info would be great.
I was told about 8K out of the SE
I was looking to fit the SE180 to my Bob but was turned off the idea when I was told I'd only get around 8K out of it.... thats only 3-4 months for a tyre. Think the SE180 profile is 180/70/17 whilst the standard is160/70/17. I looked around at other manufacturers and all I seemed to find was 180/55/17 and have heard nothing but bad commnets about the look. Plus I'd have to look at a speedo recal.....
nothing wrong with se180.... the negative comments were about the ME180/55/17 people didn't like the look of the lower profiled tyre on the dyna
The SE180 fitted up ok so not sure what frasers were going on about, matter of fact they didnt even use the new brackets that came with the kit, checked under the guard and all ok, I think having the 440's on has helped with clearance issues too..................sticks well and with both the engine mounts replaced, true track front and rear and new fork brace hopefully I will be able to keep up with someone............
