Anti Bikie Laws. Un-Australian

What in name of all things Australian has happened to this country. Have we missed the point of living in Australia? The rubbish happening South Australia is so outlandish that it’s boarding on the insane!

My parents came out of war torn Europe to live in a land where freedom is a right, where everyone has the same rights regardless of colour, where people can gather and express their views. Whether wrong or right I will defend someone’s right to be heard. My parents worked damn hard to provide a good life for us. Well, my father god rest his soul, would be turning in his grave after the rubbish being passed as laws to protect the people by the South Australian Rann government. Fascism at its best, do we need to learn to salute to live here now?

I ride every opportunity I get; sometimes I ride alone, sometimes with my brother and sometimes with a group of friends. Does this make me a criminal? Does this make me want to go out and steal, to bash, and to deal in drugs? No! No it doesn’t, by but definition in SA I would be part of an “Outlaw Motorcycle Gang” if we wore all the same colours and patches. So every member of such “gangs” are criminals purely by association, so with this in mind then every copper in NSW is a paedophile, because over the years there have been one or two ‘Uniformed Officers” caught. Every Arab is a terrorist because of their religious attire; every priest is a molester of children because his wears a white collar.  In the absence of common sense stupidity prevails.

The harder you try to squash something the hard it will become. The Americans found out the hard way with Prohibition. Same rhetoric was spun then as it is now, all drinkers are bad, all drinkers will commit crimes and all drinkers are wife bashers. The criminal element soon found a way and fought back hard, their society is still feeling the effects that their laws have caused. The Victorian Police Commissioner has cast some light on the outlook SA can suffer if they continue on the path of denying citizens the common rights that this country allows; Police Commissioner Christine Nixon says the laws will “merely drive the visible appearance of organised motorcycle gangs (OMCGs) underground, where the criminal activity will continue to function. Rather than displacing OMCG organised crime activity from SA, it is likely the new laws will increase police-OMCG conflict,” Great move by the Rann government trying to “Protect” the SA people. The problem is that the SA state government relies too heavily on the feeling of a minority whose fears are based on whispers and fabrications

So let’s be clear, some members of these motorcycle clubs have committed crimes and will continue to commit crimes, every organisation will always have its element that will break the rules. They live by a set of values and rules that not everyone can understand. I am not a 1% and never will be, but if that is your choice in life, who am I to tell them any different. Who am I to tell them how to live? Government should improve the living standards of its citizens not to not to stand up there with a set of rules as to how I am supposed to live. There are a million other ways that they could improve society.  .

Their laws may well be standing now, but let’s see when the time comes. The High Court will have some say, but it’s the people of Australia that will have the final say.
