Just fitted up the larger touring screen on the Ultra. Needed it as the peaked helmet I wear on trips vibrated horribly with the standard screen, and my comunication gear is on this helmet.

The taller screen works a treat, and there is no buffeting and hardley any wind noise at speed.

Pitty it looks pretty ordinary

hey lofty which hieght is the bigger screen ??? have similair probs im just a bit too tall for standard screen have to stoop down a little to get outa the buffet!

I don't know exactly how much longer it is over stock, but it works a treat and i'm 6'3".

Put a higher than stock screen on my 08 Ultra but went for the lightly smoked (tinted) one, definitely better for the reasons you outlined.

P/No was 58302-96, for the smoked screen, the clear one is 58187-96 (that's for 12" ones)

 

You should also have a look at Clark's Custom Windshields, they have a big range and great service, look them up if you want.

The problem can be that when raining, especiallt at night, they (tall w/shields)can be almost impossible to see through, one of the answers is the wind vest where the top is still level with your chin giving good vision, as it directs the wind and rain over and away from your helmet.....could be useful to look them up.....

g'day been reading posts  and i put a new 12in screen on my 09 ultra and could not see , it was hard to see though payed 213 dollars for it if any needs a new one i'm selling my for 150 dollars plus p&h

I put a 15 inch on my ultra C. Just replaced it with a 10 inch wind vest, much better no probs at all.
