Ok I had better do this in the small window i have of not being pissed, yep one of those weekends, 2 reasons for me relocating my indicators, 1 is of course they are so fuggin ugly 3 inches out in the breeze like a wing on a bloody plane so wanted to bring them in nice and neat.

2nd reason is i made a sissy bar that I can throw on in just a couple of minutes for when the better half or kids want to go for a squirt but getting at that back mounting bolt from inside of the guard was a pain so made up a bracket that hangs down from the rear bolt hole, welded to the inside mount and machined a nut that is also welded to that mount, similar to the one for the front bolt but mine is a bit beefier and stainless.

anyway it has done exactly what i wanted, just should have done it months ago had everything ready to go, will get some smaller bullets soon too.

 

seat is getting recovered will post pics when done should look OK, nice and low profile like a barebones but only cost $40 to get covered, not much comfort but ok for short cruises.....

oh yeah, made up some small oval shaped stainless covers to cover the hole where the indicator wires used to come through the strut cover...

Please tell me you DIDN"T drill 4 holes in your guard to re-mount your number plate ?

ha! no mate, used the std 3 holes and fabricated my own v-e-r-y low stainless bracket for the plate, would never be drilling un-nesseccary holes anyware.

Hey, let me know how the bike feels after you've trimmed the seat again.

I found that, even with the stock seat shape, I felt I was slipping backward when accelerating.

bugger !! i was meant to pick it up from the trimmers tonite but its not ready yet, anyway, I pretty much know 4 sure that this seat won't be comfortable and I will probably slip back like you said, but this seat is sorta just to look good (hopefully) and just for cruizin' around town.... hopefully get it friday !

looks good daggs..... but not sure i could haddle that seat. have the Mustang Solo which i love and really hate it when i put the original back on with the added pillion seat. have to get me the matching Mustang Solo pillion
