As a matter of interest the publican, Mal Grant, of the Port Hotel in Hopetoun is a avid biker, he rides a softail (heritidge I think) with guys from Albany and Esperance.
He invites any of us to come stay at the pub, have shindigs in the beer garden and meet up on rides etc.....Real nice guy....Ph 98383053.....
The ride to Hopetoun can easily be done in 6-7 hours from Perth
Not sure how long ago you ate that Ho but I feel really sorry for the people at the little cafe in Ravensthorpe and the BP in Ravensthorpe now. Its a small town for two loads of decomposing whatever that is!
