Following on from the very succesfull Iron Arse ride I propose that we plan a ride around the Great Southern in the next month or so, before winter sets in........
This ride will be over 3-4 days and is intended to be more sight seeing and drinking etc than all out speed.........well maybe a little speed here and there
Expressions of interest and suggestions most welcome....
Bt
Count me in BT..................new tyres new mounts and a dyno...............just waiting for another ride down that way
any time after 15/3 and I will be in.........................
The ride I would like would be to follow the coast as far as praticable to Esperance, visiting as many communities & inlets etc as possible......
About end March early April would be good for me......

Just in case theres any bitching, here's the ride planner thingy to salivate over..........
Any time between 30 Mar and 8 Apr and I'm in.
If its easter I am in for 3-4 days (10th april to 13th april) otherwise put me down for 2-3 days as I am out of holidays.
Or ANZAC day weekend?
I have new rubber now too
cheers Surly
Easter is not a good time to be mixing it with all the mad tourists and the cops are gonna be out in force and double demerits as well and accomodation could be problematic.......
Anzac day is on Saturday and I don't think they have a long weekend for that...there is a ride for that weekend, usually to Ballingup, watch footy etc......
At this early stage I'm looking at April 4-5-6-7 and beyond (take 4 days off before Easter) any later than that and it could be quite wet down south....
March 28-29-30-31 could be in the mix as well.......
The date for the Great Southern ride is gonna be April 4-5-6-7........ those that want to cut out early can obviously do so at any time
Accomodation is gonna be as we get there, wherever, whenever........No prebooked stuff. There should be plenty of accom along the way.
The only other consideration for this ride is that I would like to travel at a reasonable speed, at least 10-15+... so what am I saying!!!!!!! those that choose to come along need to attempt to keep up within thier capabilitys and remain in touch with the pack......
The ride will be from Perth, through Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Augusta,Pemberton, Northcliffe, Walpole,Denmark,Albany, Bremer bay, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun and Esperance.
Return inland via LakeKing, Newdegate etc.........
This has the makings of a damn good ride............
Ahhhh!!!!!! aint that nice.........what more do we want, fire lighters at ten paces.......and here I thought that the Gnome had turned over a new leaf......
Wheres Hoggy????? ya might as well pay out on him too......bring back the pig......
looks like I'm out BT wedding invitation in the mail today for 4th April down at Lake Clifton.....
just got back from Bali and been checking the threads...............the Denmark ride looks like it was a blast and I'm sorry I couldn't make it...............so you had better pencil me in for this one.......... cheers Johno
Forgot to mention i am currently on a double or nothing 12 month good behavior period due to running out of points!!! hence the 6 month loss of license coming at me!
That's a real shame Kane............but ya can always ride bitch with the Gnome.......
Still looking good for at least part of the ride.
Good to have ya come along Surly.............The ride will take us all points South and when ya had enough ya go home.......
As for HO the ambasador, he is certainly missing in action, in fact havn't seen any Latte posts or breky posts or bikewash posts for quite a few weeks now......That's what the liesure life does to ya......
Can't wait for this ride to happen
shit.... and I was just telling BT that I was going to look for some southern hospitality on the Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what happened.... fall over turning around at your front gate
seriously though.... hope it's not too serious
Glad your ok Dazza, sorry bout the bike but at least it looks fixable.
