Yep I am a member, but I have never tucked my jeans in my boots. I didn't know that was a requirement. I don't go on many group rides I tend to just ride with a few mates. I do enjoy the big get togethers like the annual general meeting (this year in Penrith), you end up with 3000+ people over the week long event.

You are dead right Rusty, at the end of the day we will need every man, woman, child, dog, cat... aaah ya get my drift, to fight for not only our rights but for the rights of those who at the moment are so completely ignorant of the impact of this "bullshit" legislation. And generally speakin' the only wave I usually get is from Mr. Plod to pull it on over...

PS - Good nickname mate, ya gotta  like anything with rust in it...

From experience on one large ride, the Ulysees guys rode with sense, courtesy and were actual nice blokes. Other people with HOG notoriety tended to more on the dickhead side of things, I guess they do with 'earnt patches' and 'ride captains' being of the utmost importance, and similar bollocks.

Still, we're all on bikes and for that I have a healthy level of respect for whoever it is - a 1%er to a newb on learner scoot. You'll get a nod out of me, though I've learnt not to expect one back...

Nice one, Hilly. My nods turn to grins when its another HD coming the other way especially. I even talk to lads on pushies if they arent that scary lycra brigade :)

I know the Ulysses lads have copped a ribbing, but tonight I passes through Lygon St - and it was full of the certified wanker set of bike owners. I saw at least 15. All on crotch rockets, and basically out to be seen - and heard - if its really necessary to 10,000 rev / mosquito through such a packed area and eatery. And we get persecuted for having a blat. There were about 20 parked variously in the street so I guess its the home of these power rangers - all for an espresso...

Back to being more on topic - the Ulysses logo is one of the most recognisable and noticeable too. I like it. Some of their newsletters with the 'funnies' section are a real laugh too.

I give anyone on a bike a nod. Cant hurt. I know blokes who ride harleys and only  wave to harleys, cruisers only wave to cruisers, sports bikes only wave to sports bikes etc.  Fair enough if you dont want to ride with someone, but a guy once told me (he sold real estate) a smile and a wave costs nothing, but mey bring some return benefit.

On ya Rowie, I don't personally give a shit what you ride, as long as you ride.

And I don't care if it's a push bike, hang on to the back and I'll tow ya (remember that as a kid everyone.....Hmmmmm)

I know of people who have spent s#itloads on a motorcycle only to leave it sitting in the garage as a monument.
