Can anyone help?

I   have a problem  with me 95  softail bike every now and than it blows oil out the pressure release hose that comes out the bottom of the crank case. I have been told that the hose is to low in the block and should change it to blow through the heads and if any oil comes out it will get burnt off. has anyone experianced this problem and can i get some info of how to fix it

Not sure about that particular motor, but in many other cases the crank case breather hose is necessary and shoiuld be used. As far as I know It should ideally be routed upward from the case and have a small breather filter attached to the end (like a tiny K&N - I have a Drag Specialties on mine) and the filter should have a mounting point which can be secured anywhere ie onto the frame or between the cylinders etc. The filter will catch any oil that is blown out - shouldn't be much....

Thanks for the info berms. i understand that it needs a breather but could not understand all the oil that it blows out sometimes ill look into the filter part as it makes good sense
