Hi all,

Due to the recent bushfire activity in the Kinglake, St Andrews and Yarra Glen areas it’s been decided that a bunch of bikes

riding through these area would be most inappropriate. The police and other emergency services are having enough trouble with

so called “tourists” going into these areas as an excursion to see what other people’s misery looks like. Most Inappropriate!!

I have re-routed our ride to take in the South Gippsland area and down to a great little pub in Tarwin Lower that has been recommended

by Zoran for lunch. After that we can swing across to the second half of the ride taking in Flinders, Gunamatta, West Rosebud and finally

Dromana for dinner. This new ride keeps us well away from any bushfire activity.

The cancer run also happens on this day but the troops are happy to go ahead with our planned ride. Perhaps we could take up a donation

amongst ourselves and pass it on to either the Cancer Council of Australia or the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. I’ll leave that up to you all.

All in all it promises to be another great day on the road with a great bunch of people.
