Anyone know what size socket fits the steering head nut on 08 dyna fatbob? gonna have to buy one as mine only go to 1 1/4 " cheers

socket size needed is 1 1/2", tightened steering head bearings no more clunking

Its the nut underneath that nut that you need to tighten.
That top nut is not, the nut that tightens the bearings on the fork stem.

You can't use a socket on it, as it is not a conventional nut.
You might have to use multigrips, but if you adjust your fallaway you won't get it much more than hand tight anyway before it is too tight for proper fallaway.
