    my front brakes rattle, checken all nuts , all good, do single piston calipers need that much play in em?

    They do rattle, can't tell if it's excessive unless I can hear it. A bit of a cure was to put some stick-on foam tape on them, as long as it doesn't interfere with the side to side movement. A better cure is to swap to the single disc and caliper from the Evo era. (11.5 disc). That set up is far better than the stock twin 10's (useles in the wet.) try ebay, a lot of Evo's changed to custom brakes. You might find some cheap.

    gday cris, the hole bike rattles, shakes and rolls....mabee i should name it elvis...lol, why are they bad in the wet? lock up? no brakes?

    Real adrenalin stuff. Pissing down, traffic stopped (4 cars in line, last one a copper.)chomped on the brakes and nothing happened. Swerved to the left and managed to stop before the intersection, hopped off the bike and got in the bus shelter.
    Copper thought I was getting out of the rain. FAAAAARK. And that was after I had put S/S drilled discs on.
