Time to change the tyres. can anyone recommend a reliable outlet in the Penrith area. 

If you dont mind taking your wheels off and putting them back on yourself, go to MCA at their new store in Auburn or the other one at Liverpool. For the price of the tyre they fit and balance it for you. Its the best value in town for the handy!

I got Frasers to fit tyres to my Road King Classic wheels (I removed them) the other day, and it cost $546 incl labour. I got the std whitewalls.

I can recommend the guys at Wild West. I took my Sportster to them (when no one else wanted to know me). They are a good bunch of guys who take pride in their work. Steve was also kind enough to pick my bike up when I broke my drive belt.
He is also good for a yarn. Infact he's got some great war stories to tell.
