heya all
Recently bought an 08 roadie classic simply because it looks hot and will be good for the big km's we do. I have been copping a shitfull from my mates who r all old school shovel and stuff riders. Im not yet 40 and being my first HD it just maybe a mid life crisis but i dont care. I have never had so much interest from others about anything i have ridden b4. Even the tourists at Stanwell tops take pics of it. That was fun at first but now just LEAVE ME ALONE. Everywhere i go girls make me wish i bought it while i was single. Yes its that easy. But i'm being told i have an old mans bike and getting a bagging from my mates sum of which r 1%ers.(no pun intended). What i have noticed is those baggin it cant afford a new RK. So help me here guys. My first HD was it a good choice or should I have looked at other models . I am more than happy with it as i can cruise or ride it like a riceburner through the twisties. Everywhere i go ppl talk to me now.l Did i buy an old mans bike or to hell with them all and I have a respected HD..Let me know ur oppinions all comments appreciated. I figure I work hard play hard and deserve something beautiful. What bout u?
Thanx guys thats what i reckon..but after a while i must admit i got a little worried. I love my scoot like no other i ever rode. I agree with both ur comments. Just needed a little conformation. Im not old just able to afford a nice dresser after workin my prick off so fk it. Thankx heaps gunna print ur comments out to throw a little fuel on thier fire but i do agree. Diff scoots for diff hoots and i like chrome. Much appreciated ur thoughts cause i must admit i was getting a little worried.
Been there, done that, had to make all those decisions, and glad I did
I love my 07 RK,it goes ok,handles well and as you say it attracts its share of attention from real people, noy just people that are attracted by things painted in gaudy colours.Normally the knockers are the people that have never ridden one or that can't afford one or are ill informed. They are heavy around town, but will still do whatever you ask it to do,if you don't mind scraping the boards, nowhere near as much as a sloptail though. On the open road is where they come into their own.Point to point the longer the distance the better not too many Harleys are going to beat you,and those that do,the rider will not be in any shape to say much. After a lot of deliberation and owning Dynas and Heritage sloptails the Roadking represents the best allround package,as you can put the screen on and tour, take the screen off and cruise, strip it down and pose. And as far as clubbies go,take a look in most clubs these days, you will find lots of baggers, including Heritages,Roadkings and the other bike I really like, the Street Glide, just because they are so versatile.Oh yeah, and have lost count I have been asked for A ride for A ride,so something must be ok in the eyes of the fairer sex......if only I was single.
