still early days.... was at Super Cycles last week and was talking about it. Is their answer to the Thundermax. Has the standard V plus option of Auto Tuner. All up fitted will be around $2K...

Aussie importer is checking compatibiltiy between PCIII and the Auto Tuner component

2k? holy shit, sounds a tad expensive. Fuelmoto are selling them for $285 US, premapped to your exact bike so it's just plug and play, no idea how much the auto-tune unit is though.

took this from the PC V site..... seems pretty good

(Note: PCV’s will only be available for 2009 model year motorcycles)
NEW Power Commander V Basic Features List
    • Reduced size from PCIIIusb (less than half of the size of PCIII)
    • USB powered from computer (9 volt adapter is no longer needed for programming)
    • 2 position map switching function built in (map switch not included)
    • Gear/Speed input (allows for map adjustment based on gear and speed)
    • Analog input (allows user to install any 0-5 volt sensor and build an adjustment table based on its input such as boost or temperature)
    • With gear position input connected the PCV is capable of allowing each cylinder to be mapped individually and for each gear (for example: on a 4 cylinder bike with a six speed transmission there could be up to 24 separate fuel tables).
    • Unit has a -100/+250% fuel change range (up from -100/+100%). This allows more adjustment range for 8 injector sportbikes
    • 10 throttle position columns (up from 9 on PCIIIusb)
    • Enhanced “accel pump” utility (increased adjustment and sensitivity ranges)
    Harley Davidson Units Also Include:
    • Fuel and Timing control
    • Rev Xtend
    • “Warm Up” fuel adjustment (unit reads engine temp and allows fuel/timing adjustments based on it)
    • Software will display J1850 data from bikes’ stock ECU (this is data such as temp, fuel pulse width, timing advance, spark knock, etc.)
Auto Tune for PCV (all models)
    • “Auto Tune” kit will be available that includes Wide Band O2 sensor(s) and control box(es). It will plug directly into the PCV and allow automatic fuel adjustments.
    • It can make a map for each gear and on a Harley Davidson models it can map each cylinder separately for each gear if needed. (basic settings would make one map for all gears)
    • Each map cell is individually adjustable so you can specify an exact AFR value for each area if needed.

I just had a PCV and V&H Big Radius 2-2 + se stage 1 a/c installed on my Night Train yesterday.  Had to come straight out to work though so haven't had a chance to take it for a proper run.  For the brief time i rode it it felt unreal.  Very responsive.

Oh, and i bought the PCV and a/c kit from Jamie at Fuelmoto from the states.  Ended up being a good deal.

Has anybody got some more recent feedback on the PC V with autotune? Fuel Moto now sell a version that can be retrofitted to bikes of earlier vintage than 2009. And they offer full (actually double) warranty on the product and support/mapping as they normally do

I just got my 07 Street Bob back from Pro Cycle Dyno. I had them remove the V&H Fuelpak and replace it with the Power Commander V. I got a custom Map and a blat on the Dyno....... HOLY SHIT!

It sounds different, idles different, the throttle has so much snap. I gained a few ponies, runs so fukn smooth... I specifically asked for "rideability" over horsepower and they delivered big time.
I only have a big sucker A/C and some slip ons mods but the difference was like Marmite and Vegemite. I should've done it earlier but I guess you learn. It's a brand new bike to me now!!!

Worth the coin in upgrading from the Fuelpak to the PCV.

For those interested, my Max Power = 80.75 and my Max Torque = 92.65.

Put my money down and ordered PCV . Mate has account with SERCO ( Aussie importer ) , could have bought cheaper from U.S. , but SERCO gives full warranty with the units they import . They have a database of the serial no.s off all the units they sell . Will post more details later , though all I,m after is a richer mix for cooler running .

The dealer electronically adjusted my bike to keep the exhaust flapper valve open . When my PC 5 is installed will the flapper remain open or does the PC 5 do this ?

Had PC 5 installed today .Was only interested in richening bike up , not outright power increase . Base stock tune 67hp , 85ftlb . New tune 71hp , 88ftlb . Changed AFM from in the 14,s to between 13.2 to 13.5 across the rev range in 250rpm increments . The bike is a lot smoother as it revs out , and the bottom end is vastly different . It will now hold 4th gear at 50km/h @ 1500rpm with no snatching . Before even 3rd was a bit jerky at 50 km/h . Am going for a ride tomorrow , will get more of a chance to se how it goes .

Doesn,t use the o2 sensors in pipes anymore . Fitting and tuning 3hrs . Still has decel pop shutting off below 2800rpm that may be tuned out with laptop . Decel pop may also be caused by air leaking through slip-on to header pipe joint .

Fuck did bike sound awesome between 5-5500 rpm in dyno room !!

Went for decent ride today . Bike is heaps smoother reving out . Can now sect 6th gear at 80km/h ! I thought the snatching before was tall gearing , was obviously a fueling issue . Will pull smoothly from 1500rpm in ANY gear ! Also picked up top end .

Had a PC 3 on an o8 Sporty. Through Fuelmoto I can now run a PC V with 2 years warranty. The original dynojet map on the PC 3 was a ripper right out of the box, Went with dynojet map on the PC V, but wasn't right. Got a new map from Fuelmoto...bloody perfect. Different bike. Big improvement over the PC 3. Great service from Fuelmoto. (First time I've used them..very impressed with service & free maps with upgrades etc).

Gooday all--local shop says my TC88 Dyna is running way too lean--I accept this as is a pig riding thru the city-smooths out on open road. Has V@H Short Shots and Hi-Flow filter, but no racetuner/power commander. They are quoting me $1000 to supply power commander and Dyno tune. Ive seen them on the net for $290 USD. Is $1000 a fair thing? I want to get it done but dont want to be stung !\
