Cleaning yer rim

Thought that might get your attention.

Anyway, I just put new tyres on the 07 Road King Classic. First set, 18500K, whitewalls.

Took the wheels to Frasers to get fitted. Brought them home and admired the REALLY WHITE whitewalls. I'd forgotten how white they were when new. Then I looked closely at the rims. Grubby. Very grubby.

So tell me - how do you get your rims clean in between the spokes when the front wheel's got two disks and the back wheel is equally inaccessible because it's got one disk and one belt sprocket? The grot appears to be from the disks.

Also, how do you clean the centre of the hub (the aluminium bit in-between the spokes)?

None of my previous bikes has been this difficult to get into.

    Is there some magical spray/potion/spell????

    Gonzo.

    Hey Hooda,

You don't have a photo of this spoke brush, do you?
Do you use any particular cleaning solution with it?
I hope it's not abrasive on your wife's hands...

The above brush and a bike lift does the job.

Not bad mileage for the Roadking tyres, is that front and back????

use a baby's bottle brush as well as toothbrush and various other nick nacks like thick sports shoe lace wraped round couple times and pulled back and forth.... all are long hard tedious jobs so bike lift helps
