My Fatboy was just starting to get a bit slow to kick over and start, so I charged the battery and it worked fine, my mate is a Auto Electrician so we put the Meter on the battery and found out it wasn't getting charge, so we got the specs and with the meter we found out it wasn't the stater, so we went for the Regulator, we ended up taking it off, I thought  it was stuffed but put it back on to get home -       it  was working again.

Might have been the connection we cleaned up or the earth wire -  anyway I was thinking money!!!! and got out of it for Zip for a change. Great having an Auto Elect I can trust and does stuff for me for a packet of smokes.

very lucky firey , i have been waiting for a regulator for 12 days to arrive and iam still waiting my battery has also shot itself so thats more money i have to fork out . all because when i got my motor rebuilt the guy didn't cable tie the wires up and they shorted out on the motor. and it is amazing what how a good earth makes a big difference.

I clean the earth contact point behind and under the bolt heads on the reg every year and it always needs it, reckon alot have reg's have been replaced when all they needed was a clean earth.
