Hi guys, my name is Lee, and I live in the eastern burbs of Sydney. Been riding for about 3 years on road bikes. I have only owned sports bikes, but always had an interest in Harleys. About a month before xmas, I had a rather bad accident at Eastern Creek on my Triumph Daytona 675, and for my efforts, recieved four fractures to my back and pelvis, and a dislocated shoulder. I can still hardly walk, but can't wait till i'm healthy enough, to get back on a bike. My bike is going off to get repaired, and then sold, this week.
I now am going to do what I have wanted to for some time, and buy a Harley. I'm tossing up between two models, the Nightster and the Rocker, with a slight preference to the Rocker. I like the custom look of these two models. Any input or feedback from owners of either of these models, or models I may have over looked would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Lee.
Welcome Tito, if you have a suss back I would give the Nightster a miss. Fantastic looking & performing bike, but they are not very kind on backs.
Good luck with your healing and your choice of Harley.
Regards Bob
Gday Tito and welcome to the forum......cheers Jake
Hey Tito, a bit bust up at the moment eh? I hope you get mended soon and back in the saddle, as the others have said - test ride and then test ride again. Welcome to da forums.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone. Sounds like once i'm able, its out for a bit of test riding. I live in Sydney, so I guess my two options are Trivett, and Frasers. Any one had any good/bad experiences with either of these dealers?
Try Kat from Frasers in the Gong as well ...great lady and will do the right thing by you as well
just because u buy the bike from a certain location doesnt mean u have to get it serviced there
Hi Lee and welcome from the west
Hi Lee and welcome to this crazy site.................. sorry to hear about your off mate but there's usually a silver lining...... enjoy the Harley when she arrives
G'day Lee
welcome to the forum, hope your recovery is a speedy one
I should probably also add, I am 6'3", and after doing some research, it seems the nightster may be a bit small for me, even with forward controls.
G'day Lee & welcome to the forum, m8 if ya hat long & have a crook back then best not get a Nightster ( I can't believe I'm saying this they are rough riding fom new, they can be changed but ya long legs will not help, good luck with the healing bit, pain sucks
Welcome Tito hope you enjoy the forum and stay safe out there.
