I just phoned the Great Southern Hotel in Eden, Rebecca, 64961515 nothing open Sunday night at all, Saturday night better I might see if I can organise that. We can lock up our bikes in the bottle shop, single bed rooms from $40 to the best room for $85. This is one idea

I am locked in to work this weekend, going to try to swap it and will find out before Monday or Tuesday, my mate owes me one. I will be riding from Batemans Bay

I am also working the next two weekends unfortunately ..so if the ride is on for the next two I am out ..

Cheez its not looking good for me either, my mate is trying to get his work mate to do his jobs now. Hopefully I will know tomorrow, his mate is dogging him though!!!! Janaury is going to be busy for me I think!!! Then months off

Im actually going down feb 27 till march 2 with a mate, leaving sydney. havent booked accom yet but will soon, and i think its the same place stated, Have a couple of mates there, say thats the place to go, owner is a rider and will lock up in bottlo, so anyone keen, let me know i will book rooms end of this week.

Heres some feedback before i even get there.

The Great Southern Hotel, booked 2 single rooms today, were $40 each per night, at the end I mentioned there were 2 bikes aswell, No worries we can lock im the bottlo overnight, and the rooms now cost $20 per night because you r riders......bloody sweeeeeeeet.

I'll  let you know when I get back, I told him I wanted to sit down and have a chat with him about how many he can take, sounds like theres heaps of room, they have the melbourne storm there on saturday night, so we are staying at a mates place for that night

I'll do my best Flan, Ive been given the heads up, that if im going to play up, do it at the bottom pub. thats from local knowledge.

Righto, well Im knackered, but here goes..... The great southern inn is the place to stay. the publican is in the process of building a backpacker/biker accommodation at the rear of the pub, It is bunk bed, dorm style and it cost $15 per night and will hold 100 beds & you can lock your bikes up in the bottlo. The pub has rooms from $20 a head for a single, thats a bikers price.
The Pit down the road holds 30 aswell and is 5o metres away, good bunch of locals drink there.
Feb/Mar would be ideal time of the year as it was quiet with good weather. At Christmas time you cant move for the tourists.and winter...well dont bother.
Food wise, theres plenty of places to eat.

I didnt eat at the souther inn ( top pub) but it looked pretty schmick, breaky down the wharf was good tucker, dinner at the pit ( bottom pub ) was good with new cooks. servo down the road had great burgers and was the only thing open the morning we left at 7am.
Locals were great at the pit, as was the top pub after about 8.
As for cops we saw 1 with a hair dryer just outside of berry, and that was it for the entire 1000ks there n back, I didnt realise how much it would take out of me.
