For me it was the first day of primary school. We had a new teacher at our small country school and he had a bike for transport. I remember it as being a Triumph twin, blue in colour. I remember the chrome Triumph badge on the tank and the twin exhausts. I was wrapped especially when I heard it running for the first time..................sounded magic.

In the back of the family Falcon panel van in Melbourne when I was a little kid when a (I think) Honda 750 four rode past us.
Me "Dad, is that motorbike faster than this car?"
Him " Oh yeah, a lot faster"
    Me "ooooooh"

I remember, as a little kid, looking out the back window of my fathers EK Holden, watching a motorcyclist following us and wondering how the hell it stays upright.

From then on it was a dream until , 25 Years later, I could buy my first bike (clapped out Suzuki GSX 250) and get my licence.

Could have had one much earlier if I put my mind to it. It's no good just dreaming.
