what a fantastic weekend............we had great weather, straight and twisty roads and a veriety of scenery from rolling wheat farms to majestic hills and lush green forest.......8 bikes from the north and 10 southerners who converged on Denmark, we did in excess of 1200ks for the weekend with no injuries or major mishaps.

I've gotta give a big  thank you to all those that took part in this ride........

    Pics and vid later....

What a ride! 1259 km round trip for me, was great.  Bloody good weather if not a bit chilly sat morning running though the hills then out to the wheat belt, arond the Porongerups tp Mt baker was fine as was the run in to Denmark even if I did stop the ride 5km out to have a piss, I was busting.

The Speed demons provided the evenings entertainment via the brothers 3 and  some bloody local yokel in a old Hilux ute trying to do burn outs at 2am and failing miserably.

Sunday morning provided the best riding in through the KARRI forrests, I have always loved this area, some fantastic riding to be had in our quest to get to Nannup, then over the famous Nannup - Balingup rd then to Stixs favourite watering hole at Mumbalup before headindg to Collie , down the hill to the Sth West Hwy which was packed because the coast rd was closed due to fires and home.

Thanks to Bobtail for orgainising the ride. Thanks to all others for attending and making it a memorable ride.

    Bob

What made this ride even more interesting is the fact that Grumpy Dazza "Rusty" Gnome suffered through the pain barrier to make sure that the demons got to Denmark..........

Thanks sir bob for organising a great ride had a ball, was shit hot meeting up with all the southerners, the publican tells me he has to stock up on the JB next time. Was it just coincidence that a wild pig runs out in front of hoggy ??.........just made it back with minus zero tread on the back and two engine mounts broken with scoot bending in half through the twisties....  Enjoyed the ride so much I want to do it all over again soon................surprisingly very few burners around and the ones we did see were booking cagers

Surly I hope you didnt have to wait too long for the trailer mate I feel for ya, as stix would say ya still had 10k left in the tyre..............

My mate turned up about 12.30 and we enjoyed a nice meal at the Denmark Hotel prior to loading the bike in the back of his Chev Dually. I spotted the stone wall at the bowls club across the river while I was waiting and it was the perfect height to roll the bike into the back.

I got home about 6pm in the end.

Thanks to BT and co for another great ride.

This was the rear when first spotted in Mt Barker on the way down.

I am not sure whether it was good for another 600km day and I rode a little gingerly the last 55km to Denmark. Thanks to FYO for following me.

Look forward to the next big run.

    cheers
    Surly
