Hopefully my new FXDF will be delivered this month after waiting forever, Im interested what peoples thoughts are as I thinking of fitting vance and hines big radius pipes. Will it be too loud? and do I have to fit a aftermaket fueler?

The pipes sound good, loudness is subjective, what is loud for 1 may be too quiet for another, best way is to find another bike with them on and have a listen or search youtube.

To get the best from you pipes you will need to fit at least a Stage 1 Airfilter set up and then a Sert/Thundermax/PCIII or on of the other electronic controlers available, you need to research this to find out what will suite you and your pocket.

    My .02c worth.

Ozzy... you will be really happy with your new Fatbob... i got mine in september and i fitted the SE slipons and got a aleness big sucker and did the SERT thing and had it on the dyno too... this all happened at my first service...900klms.... it goes real well and sounds good too... i never knew about the Rush slipons when i bought my SE slipons... i bought my slipons when i gave a deposit for my bike and all was new for the fatbob then... i have seen Alans bike and i was impressed.... his sounds real good and looks real good too.... by the way Alan if possible can you give me the part no for them pipes and where you got em from... i wouldn't mind a set of them for mine...

Got the SE slip-on's fitted, too quiet to start with but removed the baffle and modified the ramp in it and sounds great now, nowhere near as loud as the old SE pipes, only noise I don't like is when they scrape while cornering, have worn them down that far that the scrape mark can be seen as a flat edge from the rear of the muffler. Positive side is that every time they hit the tar I get a little more ground clearance.....
