Thanks Scotty for the comments, I've been told a Jost power tube are good, have you had anything to do with them or  has anyone else. As you have said the stock carby with the mods, would it be a good idea to have it set up on a dyno tune.

I have two thunderjets fitted to an S&S super "G" and they work exceptionally well.

A stock 124 cube S&S twin cam is supposed to put out 129 HP. A week after fitting with 2000klms it ran 142 rear wheel hp on a dynojet dyno.

I wouldn't run anything else, and never had any trouble with carby.

I've fitted one to my FXDX, and with a bit of carefull jetting I managed to eliminate an anoying backfire on over run that the local harley dealer could not eradicate.

It's like most things, it may be the best for one application but there may be a better solution for other bikes.

I fited one to the gold bobber with the genny shovel, was a good thing, had noticeable mid range improvement and over all a better thing to ride!
