    Hi,

Looking for a seat with more comfort and lower back support on my '09 Std Electraglide. .

Anyone had any experience with Sundowner seat? Are they better than the Stock seat on the '09? Or should I save my $$$ and get a Mustang seat?

    Any input appreciated.

and the seats arent cheap so if u make a mistake it hurts lol

the american forum site has a few threads covering this ..but bottom line is everyone is different

Berms, I fitted the Sundowner to my new Road King for the extra width when touring and to appease the cook. The seat is a bucket type and does give extra back support compared to the stock RK seat which I thought was crap for a +30k bike.

But at the end of the day it's "different strokes for different blokes"

I have fitted the Sundowner to my 08 SG and it it makes you sit a little bit further forward but the position is still ok (I am 6'2"). Last Sunday went for a ride to Gingin and Lancelin before heading back to Perth and the site was pretty comfy.

Will put the bride on the back when I finish modifying the backrest to make it taller.

    g'day berms,

groover got it right, I did the same - wider on the ass, narrower where your thighs go, sits you a bit lower and more forward. missus loves her part of it.
I get a fair bit more lower back support than standard but my backs ok so if you have a dodgy back might do bugger all for you.
I only put the seat on for long trips with the missus and have the original base reshaped and covered if its just me.
I see your from perth so if you want to try it out PM me and you can take it for a week or 2 and see how you go before ordering one. I'll only be using it from the 27th until the 4th this month.
