The Border Run has been going for 32 years and is on the first Saturday of August. It is not organised as such but everyone who’s game turns up has a meal and a drink and heads back East or West or in some cases North to the Off Center Rally next weekend.

Who's game for a longish ride in the middle of winter??   mmmmmmmmmmmm

It'd be a good ride. Will have a look closer to the time - starting a new job between now and then.

On a side note, is it just me that thinks that riding a few thousand k's for the purpose of bragging about riding long distances is a bit poncy? just my take on the farriders.....

I am in on this, will fill 4 days of riding so that can't be a bad thing.

Haven't been out that way since summer of '92.

Well getting close now and it's freezing here in Perth and possible storms clearing, should be an interesting ride.

Stropp. Why don't you let us know when you'll be in Adelaide and maybe a few of the SA crew can meet for a beer or meal. Cheers

Well big change of plans, made the border run but I'm heading back to Perth as I had made an offer on a house and I didn't expect it go through but when I asked to withdraw my offer due to the high price the vendor came back with they accepted and I need to get that sorted so the bike will sit in Adelaide for a few more months now ??

Nice effort Stropp. Many people turn up at the border?
Probably just as well you went back, some wild storms here in Adelaide Sat and Sun. Wet weather doesn't put me off from riding, but the wind we had!
