EFI Tuning / camshaft overlap / reversion

I swapped my tmax over for a tts in a hope of being able to sort out some weird shit goin on with auto tune on the tmax...guess what...it looks like its still there!

Scotty kindly sent me a map that worked for his very similar build and after a few days tinkering I decided I better give the TTS Vtune a go. This adjusts the VE table based on the standard O2 sensors input.

I took the bike out for a ten minute ride to see how the process worked and this is the resulting assesment:

The sensors be they narrow or wide seem to be suffering from a reversion or dilution issue whereby it suggests sending one cylinder fat and the other lean...unless it is normal for the front cyl to be 50% fatter than the rear.

Unfortunately this seems to be happening right where I do most of the riding.

I dont really want to swap exhausts as I like the look and dont want to fork out more cash.

Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?

    cheers

Thanks for the help guys and Merry Xmas

I had no problems with the stock headers and slip ons prior to putting the BR 2-1 on with the TMAX Scotty so I am almost certain it is the exhaust causing the problem. If I get motivated on the weekend I will try swapping them back.

I haven't had the chance to up the speed/load/rpm but the TMAX was fine at upper rpm / higher throttle openings and full noise so I am expecting much the same with the TTS

It appears to me to be a feedback loop out of control. It is getting a false reading, gives false feedback with makes the problem worse. It got to the point that my bike sounded like a big single as you rolled on gently from cruising speed with the tmax and I am getting a hint of this with the TTS. Turning off autotune and relying on a map with no feedback worked with the tmax but it was definitely rich and fuel economy was poor. I can do the same with the TTS and switch to open loop in the cruise area to avoid the bad feedback area but it sort of defeats the reason I bought it.

I will try US hdforums as well.

    cheers
