Sorry to hear about the breakdown but at least that's one more thing that won't get you again now that you know.

And now you're not really surprised that the other Harley riders didn't stop are you???????   I would have been more surprised if they did!!

Glad some real people did stop to help and shit ,you carry a timing light in your tool stash!!!!, man I wouldn't even have the screwdriver to take the points cover off!!

    Have a great Xmas!

    Hey KD,

Pity about those morons on HDs, but what I want to know is - what ELSE do you carry as spares? Do you have a trailerload of spare bits whenever you go for a ride?

I thought I was overdoing it with tyre-levers and puncture repair kit... Apparently not.

Hey Dave, sounds like you've got it together with a easy starting nice sounding Harley and a nice ride as well!

I took a short breakfast ride on Saturday buy have had the bike on the table since as I am raising the control/footboard mount height about an inch as it has been annoying not being to take corners and of course when custom applications are concerned there is no quick easy fix.

I have the shift side done but need a couple of bits from the bolt shop before I can finish the brake side and I'm not sure if the kickstand will work as I had to change it significantly and it may be too short now.

Theres quite a few bits and pieces that I should look at while it's on the table but then it will be off the road longer and I've got a few days off so want to get some saddle time in.

Bloody hell KD, you are prepared. Although i like to fix shit when it breaks or plays up i much prefer to do it in my garage with the music and proper tools etc.....
I carry my mobile with me and if the bitch stops (touch wood it has not occured yet) I will call for the trailer i think and then fix the problem when i calm down and have time and patience.
Always good to know why various things occur though and why the bastards stop every now and then but as you said looks like you have had a pretty good run this summer so far mate.
No wonder you bought those bloody saddle bags.....to carry all your spares.
What size rear sprocket you run???

ShovelnTC - I heard you are a Goldy fella....where bouts mate? Heading back there in a few weeks.....may be catch up with you on the road some time.
