Well was a good day untill me and Bobtail got pulled over in a RBT just south of Scarbourgh, I was ok but Bobtail got done for a non conforming helmut, it didn't have the sticker on the outside even though it had 1 inside. Must have both the seargent in charge told us, they wouldn't let him continue using it, he had to get his Missus to drive one up from Mandurah. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! HELLO HELLO!!!!!! What have we here than??????? a farking helmet that does not have a sticker on it........WTF..............
Anybody would have thought I robbed a bank or something..........I would have thought that any helmet is better than non............But as the nice seargent
said....and I quote "you bikies tend to tamper with these things".........Where's me Free Australia entry form
Gonna be a little more selective where I ride, Westcoast HWay is out for a loooong time............
Appart from that little infraction the day was a ripper. I want to thank all the guys and lady that came on the ride to somewhere today Twas a top day, Nice lunch at Saints in York and some good riding.......Got photos and the Vid I'll post up later.......
So remember if ya aint got that little silver sticker on ya helmet it's gonna cost ya 3 points and a hundred bucks...........Go figure......
Bt
Already have one but is not big enough (Must have been made from a very small camel).
After very pleasant ride we stopped at York for a very tasty lunch washed down with mid strenght beer. Unfortunately that was the last beer of the ride. Mr Iron Bob, guided by his GPS, lead us through Toodjay (two very nice pubs with lots and lots of beer), Bindoon (No beer but nice bakery serving great Latte) all the way to Gin Gin without stopping. LOL
On the way home after we bid farawell to others, riding along Wanneroo Road with Michael, we came across a copper with a hand held laser. He was pulling a car over and did not stop us. I saw him from a distance and slowed down but the poor bastard driving a car in front of me didn't and got done.
Thanks for avery pleasant ride. I needed that after 5 weeks of riding 250 to and from work.
Thanks BT for organising a most enjoyable day out and PIB for showing the way, good to catch up with you again. Also good to catch up with you hoggy, surly, steve and czarek (good to see the bike on the road again)
The wife ended up with heatstroke I think as she suffers from high BP, she had a couple more chunders on the way home on Military road but she did enjoy the day immensely.
Cant wait for the next ride
Check the youtube i posted for proof of bins.
cheers Surly
