Anyone know what rpm the rev limiter on a 07 Dyna would be?. The reason I ask is I was at a mates place the other day and I was giving it some before I left and had it a a constant high rpm and there was this weird rythmic miss, or maybe better put a rpm oscillation, bit hard to describe but my mate said it might be the rev limiter?? Any ideas, dont have a tacho so dont know the exact rpm at the time.

my 96 is stock just has pipes a/c and pc3 done, bumped the limiter up to 6300, i have hit it a few times when going for it, just wondering if it really is still with in the motors safe limits if i start hitting it regularly?

Why would you bother hitting the rev limiter on a Harley ?? If it was a Hayabusa I could understand it, but there just doesn't seem to be any point on a Hog, it's not exactly like being shot out of a cannon ?? Not knocking Harleys of course but they are cruisers so why buy a cruiser then try and ride it like a jappa ?? Rant over.

I have read thats its 5500. I have just put new SE slipons on and was concentrating on listening to them as I gave it a handful and hit what I assume was the limiter. It died in the arse big time. Felt like I hit a brick wall, lost just about all power. Changed up a gear and off she went.
