G'day all this is my 1st post not including intro post so be gentle hope I'm in the right area anyway here is my question
Had to take the train to melb the other day (1st sevice) pissing rain and yep you guessed it wet weather pants hot pipes need I say more
any idears on getting the crap off without damaging the nice shiney bits
I did the same thing a few weeks age , I tryed lots of stuff including Oven Cleaner , nothing worked , in the end I had the motor running to heat the Pipe up and then hit it with a Polishing Mop on the end of my Drill. Worked great
try acetone .... it should break down (melt) the plastic....
If you are going to use steel wool make sure you use the stuff in the hardwear shops that people use on timber furniture, as it is real fine. You can get different grades of it. I use it on my front rim and it works well.
Well tried the polish mop on hot pipes got some off but not completely so time to try the steel wool so off to bunnings for me well the steel wool worked a treat back to brand new and no scratches thanks guys
