    Welcome Andrew,

If you're gonna get a Sporty, get an old one (pre 80) It will teach you a lot !!

    Welcome to the froum mate.

If you've got your mind set on a Sporty do yourself a favour and get nothing less than the 1200 model. It has common components with the Buel models and is fast bike. The 883 is a waste of time.

Hi M8, i would look at getting a 1200 not a 883 as you will find the lack of power get to you after a while...unless you like to see the Softails leave you behind???

Hey Bucket, I suppose I'm showing my age. Back in the late 70's early 80's you really had to love Harleys to own one. The factory assembled them like shit. You had to be prepared to pull them apart and rebuild them yourself. It was sort of a rite of passage. But it was all worth it in the end.
Andrew, Bucket is right. We need all the new riders we can get, get a 1200 and love it!!!
    Cris.
